ALIS Press Passes

A limited number of ALIS press registrations are distributed to credentialed “working” press on assignment covering the event. Requests for press registrations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by ALIS organizers in advance of the event.

To be considered, press must meet all of the guidelines below:

  • Work for a legitimate news organization that covers the hotel, tourism, real estate or financial industry. These news outlets must have a relation to the hotel investment/development community, and work samples may be requested.

  • Carry the title of full-time writer, journalist, editor, or correspondent. Non-reporting employees of news agencies are not eligible for press passes.

  • News must be distributed via print, electronically, television, or radio broadcast. Blogs, social media accounts, and personal/corporate websites are not considered news organizations.

  • You must be able to provide audited circulation statistics, if requested, along with a copy of your latest publication.

  • Provide a copy of your business card.

  • If you are a freelance writer, you must provide a letter of assignment from the editor of the assigning publication on its masthead.

Podcasts must supply the following for consideration:

  • A copy of your business card with name, title, and company logo.

  • A letter from a producer/editor (on company letterhead) with contact information stating that you are covering on assignment. If you are a producer, or part of the production team, please provide a link where you are credited.

  • A brief description of your podcast, including its goals and intended audience.

  • Links to your podcast on iTunes, YouTube, Google Play, Stitcher, Spotify, or similar platform(s).

  • Demonstrate the number of unique visitors or listeners to your podcast with a recent monthly traffic/follower report from the platform verifying your account and traffic activity documenting the minimum views, followers or streams listed below by platform.

  • Also, please state if you have any necessary onsite space, AV or additional needs.

ALIS may ask for additional credentials and weigh a podcast’s monthly downloads, listener ratings and social media following in determining eligibility for registration.

Returning press may be requested to submit new verification materials for review prior to approval.

Your request for a press pass acknowledges that we will share your contact information with conference attendees (we will not divulge your email address without permission).

If you are interested in attending the conference as press, please submit your request to Trisha Gregg, tgregg@burba.com.
